What personal data does SGRA hold about Association members?
As of March 2019, the Association’s membership records will contain some, or all of, the following personal data: full name and title, full address, telephone number and email address.
What does SGRA use Association members’ personal data for?
The information is used exclusively to communicate with members of the Association, by letter, telephone or email.
What is SGRA’s reason for holding Association members’ personal data?
The processing of any personal information is necessary for the efficient performance of the Association. This includes corresponding with members and offering advice in dealing with any relevant residential problems or queries.
How will Association members’ personal data be safeguarded?
Personal data will be stored in Gmail Contact also on a PC hard drive backed up to a secure dedicated flash drive. All information is held in the strictest confidence and will be used for communication purposes only and not for any other purpose whatsoever. All emails directed to members will be by bcc (blind copies) to ensure that no email address is forwarded to other members.
Will SGRA divulge Association members’ personal data to third parties?
The Association will never disclose personal information to third parties for any reason whatsoever, unless a situation arose where not to do so would be unlawful.
How long will SGRA hold Association members’ personal data?
SGRA will update the Association’s membership database containing personal data from time to time to comply with information received from individual Association members in writing. The personal data will remain on the data base until its removal is request by its owner or their authorised representative.
How can Association members object to the processing of personal data by SGRA?
Association members can request from SGRA (usually the Association’s Chairman) access to and rectification or erasure of, any or all personal data or restriction of its use for any reason at any time.
Revisions to this Privacy Policy
From time to time SGRA may make changes to its privacy policy. The Association will advise members about these changes as and when they arise. The latest version of this policy will always be available to view on the Association’s website: www.sgra.co.uk
