Coventry Railway Station
Robert Stephenson was the appointed engineer to develop the London to Birmingham railway, Stephenson set up his headquarters in Coventry for the Midlands section The railway formally opened to passengers on the 17th September 1838. The railway station was totally inadequate for the developing ribbon trade. The station was immediately rebuilt.
