Styvechale Grange the Manor Part 3
1961 Styvechale and Finham was an agricultural area. Styvechale Grange was farmed from 1896 by RR Hollick up to 1961. His father also farmed from the Manor that is now Styvechale Manor the fields stretching from Leamington road to Baginton road. RR Hollick was a tenant and could not stop the sale of the land by Colonel AMH Gregory Hood to a London firm.
Mr RR Hollick used as a farm until 1964. The farm became derelict and was to be purchased by Anglican nuns. Due to extensive rebuilding cost this was further developed by Whitman Elliot building Co Ltd after agreeing a lease from the Gregory- hood family
